In our Computing lessons, we teach children how to use technology and the internet safely and effectively.
At The Gatwick School, we teach Computing once a week in 1 hour lessons in KS1 and KS2. We begin introducing the technology and programmes we use in our Reception classes.
Our Computing Curriculum and scheme is designed to ambitiously develop skills and knowledge in Information Technology, Digital Literacy and Computer Science.
We revisit these strands in every year group, to build on their skills and understanding. We have a culture of Online Safety, with each year group having a sequence of explicit lessons at the start of the year on this focus, and then once a half term.
"My favourite thing about computing is learning new things about technology and it is lots of fun!'' Myles
"I love computing because you get to explore, learn to make games and your own animations!'' Ezra
