OFSTED Report Published

7th June 2024

Dear TGS Family,

RE: Ofsted Inspection Outcome

It is with great pride that I write to you all today as our most recent Ofsted inspection report is released.

Our school has been awarded ‘good’ in all categories by Ofsted, with several areas of excellence highlighted, including the below quotes:

  • An ‘Ambitious and unique all through school’. A school with ‘a culture of aspiration’
  • A ‘culture of mutual respect’ and ‘warm nurturing relationships, with caring staff’
  • Staff with ‘expert subject knowledge’, that teach with ‘clarity and precision’, which means students ‘can know and remember more’
  • The school provides opportunities that ‘inspire awe and wonder’
  • The school has an ‘unfailing ambition for pupils to achieve all that they can’

This Ofsted report is a testament to the collective efforts and shared ambitions of our whole TGS Family. I wish to make clear both my humble gratitude and sincere belief that this has only been possible, due to the efforts of every single member of the TGS Family; our staff, students, parents, trust and governors. You have all contributed to putting TGS on the map for positive reasons and have provided the rocket fuel for our ambitions to being known as, ‘THE’ school to attend. Thank you!

‘Our Gatwick School is where all our students will leave with

more chances and more choices in their futures’

A copy of the wider press release and full inspection report can now be found on both our school website and will be released imminently on the Ofsted website here.

It is with the future in mind, that I will also be sending separate correspondence out today, from the Trust, that outline a positive change in the governance structure for TGS. This will be a move away from the current Interim Executive Board, to a Local Academy Board. On the board, will be two elected representatives of our parent body. Please ensure you read the separate correspondence, to understand the detail and rationale behind this, and the process should you wish to stand for election.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support, the future is bright, the future is TGS!

Yours Sincerely

David Marillat
