Travel and Tourism BTEC Tech Award (2022)
Travel and Tourism at The Gatwick School provides students with an opportunity to follow a broad, stimulating and enjoyable curriculum that engages and challenges students. It will give them a knowledge and understanding of the travel industry, as well as gaining transferable skills such as researching, report writing and presentation skills that complement their GCSE studies.
Students visit a variety of local companies and employers including Gatwick Airport and Wakehurst Place and participate in a variety of online learning activities as they relate their studies to real world organisations and situations.
Students will be confident learners and practitioners developing the necessary understanding and skills rapidly as they prepare for and complete set assignments in both Year 10 and 11.
